SightCare
At Woodhouse Opticians we are active and enthusiastic members of the wider eyecare community. As a practice we are members of SightCare, SightCare is a business and marketing support group who aid independent opticians across the UK. Highlighting our commitment to the support of other independent opticians, our practice manager, Sukie, is on the SightCare board of directors, regularly travelling across the country for board meetings and helping to aid in and develop SightCare’s support of independent opticians and optometrists. Every year, SightCare hosts SightCare Live, a members only event which combines a conference, awards, and expo in order to celebrate independent opticians. Additionally, OptiSwiss repurpose the wasted heat from lens production for hot water and heating in the building, not a drop of energy is wasted. Finally, OptiSwiss have reduced CO₂ emissions related to the maritime transport of semi-finished products and stock lenses by more than 50% (from 2021 to the end of 2023).
